These images were made in the last few days near Ravenwood, Jim's home and studio, outside of Ely, Minnesota.  The beautiful and rare Ram's Head Lady's-Slippers are a threatened species in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Saskatchewan and listed as an endangered species in Nova Scotia.
