Jim is very excited about Nikon's new D800. As we mentioned in our previous post, he was astounded by the image quality, and we wanted to show just how much detail the new camera produces. Below is Jim's French tree image and corresponding crops showing the image at 100%.

Can't we swap Jim?
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome camera
Greetings from Groningen, Nico
Looks amazing. Thanks for the post.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the D800E too, but the 100% samples on Nikon's web site look like bad cell phone pictures at 100%. I'm assuming they did something to the files during the jpg conversion process that ruined them, but if the real photos of my camera end up looking like that, I'm going to return it.
ReplyDeleteHi Jim,
ReplyDeleteDid you do any manipulation in PhotoShop on this or are they straight from the camera?
Thanks.
Ziggy
Excellent work ant thank you for you insights on the D800. Will you use your D800 on your wildlife in addition to your landscapes? I enjoy shooting both and was considering the Nikon D800 as the body of choice.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Trees are always great to photograph! :)
